The intricate structure of the eye poses several challenges for pharmacokinetic study, including small sample volumes, low concentrations of analytes, and high experimental requirements. Combining hands-on experience and literature research, we have prepared a variety of DMPK strategies to cope with the challenges, including the selection of animal species, routes of administration, ocular tissue collection, and sample processing. We also conclude ophthalmic examinations, bioanalytical methods, and case studies.
